How to activate Windows 8.1

Open your system information window by right clicking on Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System.

At the bottom of this window click on “Activate Windows”.

You will be redirected to the Activate Windows screen. Click on “Enter key” right below “Enter a new product key”.

Now enter your new product key carefully. Once you are finished the product key will be automatically checked.

If the product key is correct you will see this message. Now click close, and that’s it: you successfully activated your Windows 8.1.
