Office 2016 installs the same way as 2019 and shares its Office16 folder, so the two are easy to confuse on a machine that has had both. It reached the end of support in October 2025. If activation keeps failing, the usual cause is a trial key left behind by the manufacturer, which the last guide removes from the command line.
